Bruno Mars’ sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox has a very old school feel. It sounds like Michael Jackson mixed with Reggae, Disco and Motown to create a distinctly Bruno Mars album. Show Me has a definite Bob Marley influence, If I Knew has a Motown feel, and Treasure reminds me of music from the 1970s Disco era.
This album covers every aspect of a relationship. When I was Your Man is the new single portraying a guy who realizes a little too late he should’ve done things differently to keep his girlfriend. Gorilla demonstrates the hot & heavy part of a relationship. Locked Out of Heaven is the story of a girl who’s keeping the guy in the friend zone for a little too long and he doesn’t like it.
If you’re looking for something different yet upbeat and fun try Unorthodox Jukebox by Bruno Mars. My favorite song on the album is Natalie but this is definitely an album you can listen too from beginning to end and not get bored.
