Mumford & Sons formed in 2007 and their popularity has slowly but steadily been growing ever since. They have a distinctive folk sound which is unlike any other band on the radio today. Their sound is reminiscent of bluegrass with a modern day twist. They use the fiddle, cello and flugelhorn along with the trumpet and trombone which are not usually heard in mainstream pop music today but make for a very enjoyable listening experience.
Radio play began with Little Lion Man in 2010 and the release of their debut album, Sigh No More. Mumford & Sons received 2 Grammy nominations for that album. Their new album, Babel, it a critical hit winning Album of the Year at this year’s Grammys. The singles, I Will Wait and Lover of the Light, continue to deliver the upbeat folk feel that makes Mumford & Sons different from all the rest. If you’re looking for something unlike the rest try Mumford & Sons.
Mumford & Sons are Ted Dwane, Ben Lovett, Marcus Mumford & Winston Marshall.
